Research-Based On Community Participation: Our Steps

CBR is the only way for researchers to meaningfully engage with the community to understand the challenges and contribute towards finding a solution. To that end, our group decided on this research activity with the aim of making it impactful. We collected field information, interacted with the locals, and carried out analyses to address crucial issues of the community together with the local people.

This photoblog reflects our experience-from planning and discussions to community interactions and final presentations. Join us as we share the steps we took, the challenges we encountered, and lessons we learned along the way.

Our group went to do a CBR project and decided to do it in the most meaningful way possible. So we partnered, collected data, worked on field projects, and tackled issues that were present as well as resolved them. We provide a snippet of our venture as an example. 

Our team discussed the research topic and objectives. We delegated responsibilities, developed an idea scheme, and focused on the operation tactics we would use during the fieldwork. 

Being a part of the community, trying to understand their norm and the problems they face. This was very crucial in putting our research together. 

Our interviewing sessions with people from the community and more. We obtained primary data through interviews and checklists.  

We started arranging the data and information that we acquired. We took notes, documented the interviews, and arranged the answers for examination.

This Community-Based Research project was an eye-opening experience. It taught us the value of teamwork, problem-solving, and real-world application of research skills. Through this photoblog, we share our journey and hope to inspire others to engage in meaningful community work.
